Vertical blinds for bay windows can work very well, but only when each panel has its own blind. A bay is made up of angled panes, so one long blind cannot follow the shape. Do vertical blinds work in a bay window?
Yes. Vertical blinds suit tall, wide panels and give good light control, because the louvres tilt to let daylight in or give privacy. The key is that each angled pane gets its own track, so the blind runs straight across that pane.
In a square bay that usually means one vertical blind for each window. Before you choose, check that the stacked blind will clear your window handles and any radiator below the sill. We check this when we measure.
Vertical blinds for box and splay bays
In a box (90°) bay or a splay (45°) bay, the panes are flat, so a straight vertical blind sits well on each one. Because the blinds are made to measure, the louvres line up neatly and there are no gaps at the angled joints.

Vertical blinds for curved bays and bow windows
A curved bow window has no flat run, and a straight track cannot follow a curve. Vertical blinds are therefore less common in true bow windows. If the window is made of several narrow flat panes in a gentle curve, a separate blind per pane can work.
